How to Obtain a Screwworm Certificate for Dogs

1.-Examen físico completo:

Un médico veterinario revisará minuciosamente a tu mascota para descartar la presencia de larvas, heridas recientes o infecciones cutáneas.

Se verificará el programa de vacunación y la desparasitación interna y externa.

1. Complete Physical Examination:
◦ A specialized veterinarian will thoroughly examine your pet to rule out the presence of larvae, recent wounds, or skin infections.
◦ The vaccination schedule and internal and external deworming will be verified.

2.-Elaboración del Certificado de Salud Inicial:

Este certificado será emitido en hoja membretada de la Clínica, con información del propietario y de la mascota.

Para el caso de Estados Unidos, se incorpora un certificado.

 2. Preparation of the Initial Health Certificate:

◦ This certificate will be issued on letterhead, with information about the owner and the pet.

3.-Certificado Final:

Con base en el certificado inicial, el MVRA emite el certificado oficial de animal libre de gusano barrenador, válido por cinco días.

 3. Final Certificate:
◦ Based on the initial certificate, the MVRA issues the official screwworm-free certificate, valid for five days.

4.-Entrega al Propietario:

El documento estará disponible en 24 horas y deberá ser recogido en la Clínica entre las 24 y 72 horas posteriores al examen físico.

Documentación Requerida

1. Información completa del propietario (nombre, dirección, teléfono y correo electrónico).
2. Datos del animal: nombre, raza, sexo, color, edad, y número de microchip.
3. Certificados de vacunación y desparasitación actualizados (con folios de los productos), en físico.

Validez

Solo es válido por cinco días previos al viaje. Es fundamental agendar la cita con anticipación y llevar a cabo este trámite dentro del plazo establecido.

4. Delivery to the Owner: ◦ The document will be available
within 24 hours and must be collected between 24 and 72 hours after
